Chapter 363
The beautiful golden liquid flowed into Leo’s mouth.
The faces of the nearby girls stiffened.
Gulp—
Leo’s throat moved smoothly.
A refreshing scent spread across his tongue.
He felt his body—tired from training—recover instantly.
Just as Leo felt his body lighten and prepared to speak—
“Don’t look! Don’t look at anyone else!”
Celia panicked and covered Leo’s eyes with her hands.
“Hey! All of you, get away! Don’t even think about making eye contact with Leo!”
Celia was famous for never letting her guard down.
As a Zerdinger, her motto was to always be the perfect honor student.
Yet now, Celia was showing rare emotional turmoil.
“Leo-oppa! How could you drink that?!”
Chelsea rushed forward with a terrified expression.
“Shoo! Shoo!”
Still covering Leo’s eyes, Celia swung her leg as if chasing away a dangerous animal.
Chelsea frowned slightly at the ridiculous gesture, but since Leo was the top priority, she stepped back as told.
“Aren’t you overreacting a bit?”
“Overreacting? You’re the direct descendant of the Zerdinger family and our student council president! You can’t act strange!”
Celia snapped as Leo tried to remove her hands.
Chloe and Eliza had paused their fight, and Eliza curled her lips into a smirk.
“This should be fun. Since it’s interesting anyway, let’s see how strong that love potion’s effect is.”
“Oh my.”
Chen Xia covered her mouth in surprise.
Her elegant, refined posture was like that of a noble lady.
But her eyes were chilling.
“Do you find this amusing, Miss Eliza?”
Chen Xia asked coldly, and Eliza averted her gaze.
“Carr, hurry up and make an antidote.”
At Chloe’s words, Carr scratched his head awkwardly.
“There’s no antidote. Just… be careful for a day?”
Chloe’s icy stare made Carr hurriedly add:
“How about this? None of us here—except Eliza—would do anything weird to Leo, right?”
Carr grinned.
“Since it’s come to this, why not have one person stick with Leo all day?”
“What?”
“I think Chloe is perfect. She’s also a Glory dorm leader. And you’ve been close since first year.”
At Carr’s sly comment, Chloe’s face flushed bright red.
“What—what are you talking about!”
“I heard the effect lasts about a day.”
“I can take good care of Sir Leo too.”
“I’ve been in the same class as Leo-oppa for a whole year!”
Chen Xia and Chelsea stepped forward.
Celia snapped at them.
“Don’t even think about it!”
“If you’re so against it, Celia Zerdinger, why don’t you take care of him yourself?”
Eliza said.
Celia stiffened.
“Don’t be ridiculous. Leo and I are cousins.”
“Celia.”
Leo spoke.
“I’ll keep my eyes closed. So move your hands.”
Celia nodded and removed her hands.
Then they all discussed what to do with Leo.
“Leo-oppa, why did you drink that?”
As they talked, Leo asked for water. Chelsea stepped forward to pour him some.
“Chelsea.”
“Yes?”
She turned—and her heart dropped.
Beautiful red eyes were looking straight at her.
“W-what… what…”
Chelsea stuttered uncontrollably.
“Leo and Chelsea made eye contact!”
Carr shrieked.
“Hey! Chelsea Lewellin!”
Celia shouted, eyes blazing. Chelsea flailed.
“N-no! It’s not like that! Leo-oppa looked at me first—ugh! Seriously!”
She stomped her feet helplessly.
Just as she glanced sideways at Leo, cheeks flushed—
Leo smiled faintly and patted her head.
Chelsea froze in shock.
“There’s no effect.”
Everyone’s eyes widened.
“Sir Leo, you feel nothing?”
“Yeah. Totally fine.”
“Thank goodness.”
Chloe sighed deeply.
“So you made a failure?”
Celia narrowed her eyes.
Carr scratched his cheek.
“Looks like it.”
“Hmph. I can’t believe I even considered it for a second.”
Eliza scoffed and walked away.
As the situation settled, Carr burst into relieved laughter.
“Wow~ thank goodness it was a failure! Hahahaha! Okay, let’s go calm the others—”
Before he could finish, Chloe grabbed him by the ear.
“Owowowow!”
“You think you can just walk away after causing this mess?”
Celia brushed her hair back and glared.
“How are you going to take responsibility for all this?”
Chelsea cracked her knuckles—her small hands producing ominous popping sounds.
“Be ready.”
“H-hey! I didn’t know! I didn’t think it’d get this big!”
Carr protested, face pale with fear.
Chen Xia smiled softly.
“Everyone, don’t be too harsh. We can’t punish Carr on our own.”
“C-Chen Xia!”
“We’ll submit it as a student council issue. Carr, you were caught before for illegal potion-making, right? And weren’t you warned that if you caused another incident, there would be consequences?”
Carr’s face turned even paler.
“I did plan to hand it over to the student council after making it. And while this incident started because of me, I am not completely the villain here.”
“Don’t blame him too much.”
“Leo! You’re the best!”
Carr looked close to tears as Leo defended him.
The girls glanced at each other—calming slightly.
“But why was it a failure?”
“Because it’s Carr.”
Chloe tilted her head in confusion. Chelsea answered with her arms crossed.
Eventually, the whole ordeal came to an end.
Leo walked back toward his room.
‘Carr made it correctly.’
He looked down at the potion bottle.
‘Whether 5000 years ago or now… people think the same thing. Drinking it?’
Leo smirked.
Dweno’s love potion.
It was never meant to be drunk.
Leo recalled the events from 5000 years ago.
—
Clack—
It happened after a meeting in Guardslone about their future plans.
Only the five Great Heroes remained seated when Dweno placed a small bottle of golden liquid onto the table.
“What’s that?”
Lysinas asked curiously.
“A love potion.”
Lysinas, Arron, and Kyle all stared at Dweno in disbelief.
“Some idiot kept pestering me to make one, so I tried. The duration is only a day, but the effect is real.”
Arron looked at Kyle with wide eyes.
“Who would ask for something like that?”
“Exactly. Who’s the idiot who came up with such a half-baked idea? If you like someone, confess properly.”
“I agree with that. But hearing it from you—an idiot—is unacceptable.”
“What’s with you, you damn dwarf?!”
Kyle scowled.
Lysinas stared at Luna.
Luna looked away, pretending not to hear.
“I’m surprised you wasted time making something like that.”
Lysinas said.
Dweno replied calmly.
“I wasn’t planning to. But love is a beautiful feeling, isn’t it? As a worshiper of beauty, I couldn’t overlook it. So I created it.”
“I don’t even want to imagine how perverted your interpretation of beauty is.”
Kyle muttered.
Luna suddenly stood up.
“Well, since it’s already here, let’s test it. Kyle.”
“Why.”
“Drink it.”
“…”
Kyle stared at her.
“Why should I drink some weird drug I know nothing about?”
“Because you’re perfect for it.”
Luna grinned and stepped toward him with the bottle.
“Come on, say ah.”
“Get lost, idiot.”
“Drink it!”
“As leader, I can’t allow a party member to consume something suspicious. Luna, throw it away.”
“Hmph!”
But Luna uncorked the bottle and tried to force-feed him.
Kyle grabbed her wrist, snatched the bottle, and shoved it into her mouth instead.
“Mm?! Mmmf?!”
Luna kicked and struggled, eyes wide—but Kyle held her tightly, not letting her escape.
Eventually she stopped resisting, ears bright red.
Lysinas gaped. Arron widened his eyes.
“You drink it. Don’t try to force it on someone else.”
“Fuun—!”
Luna let out a strange sound and broke free, face sputtering red.
“How could you feed her that?!”
“She was going to make me drink it with magic. Should I just sit and take it?”
“Well… that’s true…”
As they argued, Luna trembled and looked up at Kyle, cheeks flushed.
Her gaze wavered.
Kyle leaned forward.
“Well? Do you feel like falling for me?”
“Kyle…”
“Luna! Wait—”
Lysinas tried to stop her—
Thud!
Luna headbutted Kyle square in the face.
“You insane woman—!”
Kyle howled as he clutched his face.
Ignoring him, Luna rounded on Dweno.
“What is this?! Nothing happened! It’s completely useless!”
Dweno looked offended.
“There is no such thing as a failure in my creations. Especially when it is for the sake of art.”
“What?”
“You tried to feed it to someone? How crude. It does restore fatigue if drunk, but that’s not the true function of the love potion.”
“And what is that?!”
Luna demanded.
Dweno’s eyes shone.
“You sprinkle it! The moment it touches your body, you return to the state you were born in!”
“…”
Luna blinked in confusion. Lysinas looked baffled.
Arron’s face flushed.
“So the moment you spray it… all our clothes melt?”
“Exactly! Well deduced, Arron!”
“That’s not a love potion, you perverted dwarf!”
Luna screamed, face completely red.
“You fail to understand! Imagine two beautiful people in the same room seeing each other’s natural form, with everything they’re wearing melted away! Love is inevitable!” (T/N: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This is totally unexpected. Makes sense though. )
“You filthy dwarf! How is that a love potion?!”
“You simply don’t understand art.”
Lysinas buried his face in his hands.
“And these people are supposed to save the world…”
—
‘Well, I’m the only one who knows what it really does.’
Leo shrugged.
‘Carr won’t dare try making it again.’
